Janet’s Story

Janet called into the ChartSpan 24/7 nurse line with concerning symptoms. A ChartSpan care coordinator and nurse worked together to identify that the patient needed to go to the Emergency Room. They immediately instructed her to do so.

It turned out that Janet was having a stroke and because she got to the ER quickly, doctors were able to give her the Tissue Plasminogen Activator (TPA) in time. She was able to recover and was transferred out of the hospital. Her primary care provider later contacted ChartSpan to thank them for making such a huge difference.

Janet was having a stroke when she called into the 24/7 nurse line. She was able to recover after visiting the ER.
