FAQ: ChartSpan’s new “Share” Feature
What does the “Share” feature do?
This feature allows you to share the information you have in ChartSpan with another user. Say you are managing your son’s health records in the app, and then your spouse downloads ChartSpan. Instead of importing records and information all over again, you can “Share” it so that your spouse has access.
How do I share my profile?
Step 1: Go to the profile you want to share.
Step 2: Select “Share” from the upper right-hand corner.
Step 3: Enter the email address of the user you wish to share the profile with. NOTE: This must be the email address that they use to login to ChartSpan.
Who can I share my profile with?
Whoever you want! As long as that person is using ChartSpan and you know the email address they use to access their account, you can “Share” your profile with your spouse, siblings, best friend, etc!
If I have profiles for my kids, spouse, etc. can I share those profiles?
Yes, any profile that you manage can be shared.
Can I unshare my profiles once I’ve shared them?
Yes, absolutely! For example, if you’re leaving your kids with a babysitter for the night and you give them access to your children’s records, once you’ve paid the sitter and sent him/her on their way, you can unshare those profiles with them. This allows you to give another ChartSpan user temporary access to you or your family’s health information in case of an emergency.
How many people can I share my profile with?
For now, we’re only allowing users to share profiles with one other ChartSpan user.
Can the person I share my profile with request or send records on my behalf?
Yes, you are giving this user full access to your profile.
